Teacher Training Director
Claudette Evans, E-RYT 500, YACEP, has been studying and practicing yoga for over two decades. She began teaching yoga in 2009 and training teachers in 2013, milestones that continue to shape her work as a mentor and facilitator. Her path has carried her from the joy of movement to a deep love of philosophy, Sanskrit, mantra, and Veda recitation. With a background in performance, dance, acting, and Western classical voice, she has long been fascinated by the way sound and rhythm shape both focus and embodiment, and she brings this passion into every class she teaches. She has also spent more than a decade in leadership roles within yoga studios, where she supported teacher training programs and helped bring a wide range of yoga events to life. She began her Sanskrit education with Vyaas Houston’s American Sanskrit Institute, where she later taught for ten years, and she continues to learn from her teachers Shantala Sriramaiah, Dr. Varun Khanna, and Dr. Douglas Brooks.
Claudette teaches throughout the Pacific Northwest, nationally, and online, leading classes, workshops, retreats, and yoga teacher training. Her style is warm and spacious, inviting students to explore strength, sensitivity, and freedom while cultivating clarity and connection. She also serves as a lead facilitator with the LoveYourBrain Foundation, offering programs that bring the healing practices of yoga and mindfulness to the brain injury community.
As both teacher and mentor, Claudette delights in supporting students and fellow teachers as they discover their voices and share their unique brilliance. Her hope is to create spaces where learning feels joyful, transformative, and authentic.
